Collection: Marble

Portuguese marble, specially the one coming from the Portuguese city of Estremoz, is unanimously considered one of the most extraordinary nature has ever produced, not only for its surprising and exquisite chromatic variations, but also for its world-famous natural properties. Despite being such an important natural resource from Portugal, marble is still somewhat forgotten in sustainable Portuguese design. Therefore, it made perfect sense for us to start working with this material and to create – or more appropriately, to carve – our Marble collection. For its release, we designed three household objects with smooth and minimalist lines: a door stop, a support for magazines or books and a small base. Even though they have been designed for specific functions, they are all versatile and can easily take on different features. Colours are presented in the natural shades of marbles extracted in Portugal, with emphasis on whites, greys, soft roses and creams.
